A 264% increase in Facebook fans since 2012. A 265% increase in Twitter followers. All thanks to engaging, sharable content created for ridiculously little money. By introducing Fresh Tips videos, fun illustrations, salacious food porn and playful writing, we moved Safeway social from a repository of marketing pushes to platforms that fans actually seek out. They're not as glamorous as a Super Bowl spot but the blocking and tackling of our social posts have stretched Safeway's marketing dollars significantly.
